My name is Sam Millard. I am from New York City. I enjoy drawing and painting. I am interested in watches and how they work. I find the design and mechanics of them very interesting. I also enjoy figuring out how they work and watching the mechanics move. I also like sports cars. I like the design of them and sometimes draw my own car designs. I hope to do well at SOAR, so that I can get into a good high school. I also hope that I will have a lot of fun this semester.
Hi Sam! I sent an e-mail as my comment, but then realized that's not how this works. I loved your bio. You describe yourself so well! Write and tell me what you've been doing. You know me, I want to know every last detail! Have a great time in the toasty warm Everglades. I'll be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI love you,
Mom
Hi Sam,
ReplyDeleteIt's freezing cold in NY and we are all jealous of you in Florida. Have you seen any alligators yet? Mark wrote and told me all the guys wrote to you. You'll get the letters when back at Base. Have fun!
Love you,
Mom
Hi Sam!
ReplyDeleteI love your bio. I hope you are having fun at Soar. It has been cold (for North Carolina) and, as you know, we have had lots of snow. The kids have had 5 snow days so far and it looks like we may get more next week. Can't wait to hear about your first trip.
Love,
Danae
Dear Sam
ReplyDeleteLoved your blog but your forgot to say how handsome and smart you are! Tell us about your boxing and judo because we have never heard your describe it in detail and it would be great to read about that! However, don't get into a boxing match with any alligators down there! So, sure you are glad you aren't in Brooklyn where everyone is moaning and complaining about how cold it is! I am sure all your friend would love to change places in a minute......
Love and hugs from us. Hope your beautiful hair is growing back!
Love, Grandma and Grandpa
Hi Sam,
ReplyDeleteI did write to you via your blog but I got it wrong some how! Duh! Well hope your trip to the glades went well, and you were gator free. I loved your description of yourself. Very true. Thinking of you always!
Love Sarah
Hi Sam
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are going to be doing some neat things and going to some interesting places. Hope you didn't have a problem with any reptiles in the Everglades, especially the ones with the big teeth. how are the mosquitos down there, they are pretty juicy here? Have a good time......
Love, Grandpa
Hi Sam!
ReplyDeleteYou described your interests so articulately. What a great bio! Has SOAR been fun so far? What have they had you guys doing? Have you made any friends yet? I was reading the other kids' biographies and saw that one is interested in wilderness first aid/EMS. Did you tell him that your sister is an EMT currently in Paramedic School?
It's been cold here in Boston-we've been getting the same storms as New York. Lots of snow! I've been super busy with working on the ambulance and doing my clinical rotations at the hospital.
This week I was in a cardiac electrophysiology unit where they put pacemakers in people. These are small devices (about half the size of your palm) that the doctors implant into someone's chest to help his or her heart beat using electricity. It was pretty cool to watch! (I'm sure Oliver and Dad would have thrown up though...)
Write to us all soon please! I miss you and can't wait to hear more about SOAR.
Love,
Ali
Hi Sam,
ReplyDeleteYou are due back from FL any day now, and I know you get to speak with mum this weekend, so I hope to hear how things have been going. I am sending you out a package today, nothing too exciting! We had a ton more snow yesterday and O had a very lazy snow day. The snow plows have completely buried loads of cars. It is icy out today. Olive fell
over yesterday in a bit of slush! Yuri was trying to write on your blog but it kept erasing the message instead of sending. But she sends you her love and thinking of you!
Love Sarah
