Mitchell's Life At SOAR

Hello My Name is Mitchell Wilkinson- Harrison I’m 18 years old and from Richmond, Va. and I have been coming to SOAR for seven semesters and two summer programs.

I’m going to tell you some interesting facts about myself. I like to play a lot of video games after a hard day working on the farm, and I like muscle cars because they look cool to drive. Interesting places that I had visited are Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and Belize.  The Things I’m good at are working on the farm, driving my farm vehicle, lifting hay, collecting the chicken eggs and washing farm vehicles and, repairing things. The Most things I enjoy are playing with my dog violet and working on the farm and playing a lot of videogames. My favorite football team is the Steelers and my favorite artists are Bon Jovi and Michael Bubble.

The things I like to do in school are computer class and mechanical class. The things I do not like in school is making project in P.E. class and Accomplish all of my goal this semester at SOAR and making new friends.

 My Family is special to me because they are there for me every time when I needed them. Mom works at a pharmacy in a Kroger and my step dad works for my grandpa. My Grandpa has his own company and it is called Fehr Mark and it is a decking company.

Dustin rowe-kenney biography

Hi my name is Dustin Rowe-Kenney, I was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida

    Some things I am interested In are :

I love to play the drums it is a passion and something to calm me down.  I wish to be in a band  some day because they make a lot of money and I can do the thing that I love the most. another thing that I am interested in is swimming , I would love to be on the high school swim team. Swimming for me is a way to relieve stress and to become stronger and faster in the water.

Another thing that keeps me active is playing basketball. In middle school I was on a basket ball team. We were not that good but we came pretty close to winning a few times, so that was cool. I mostly shoot hoops in my front yard.

 I am also into BMX riding. It is another way to stay fit and active.  The most important thing to know about me is that I love to read and study

Greek mythology.  I have been studying it since two years ago and I loved it ever since.

 Some of the interesting places I have been are Seattle Washington for Christmas and to visit family, I have also beento New Hampshire for the same reason and to go for a family picnic in the summer. Over all I have been to these two places four times in all.

 I have played football even though it was just for fun. I played basket ball on a middle school team. I was on a soccer team in elementary school and I played tennis just for fun. Some music that I am in to is rock, metal, System of a down, Disturbed, rap, Niki Minaj, and Kid Cuddi along  with the drums and the guitar. I play both.

  For the family I have a wonderful mom, an outstanding dad , and a sweet little sister.

Even though we all fight at times we can find the light at the end of the tunnel and laugh on it at the end .

Blog 1

Hi my name is Tristan Carroll, I am 14 years old and I was born on January 29^th 1996. I hail from Farmingville, New York. I have blue/green eyes and I am in 9^th grade. I am an only child. My moms name is Debra but she prefers Deb. I own two pets. One is a fish; it is an African cichlid. My fish does not have a name; I just call him fish. I also have a three-year-old dog. He is a cairn terrier and his name is MacGyver.  I am an active member in Civil Air Patrol and Long Island Ground Search And Rescue. I am certified in advanced first aid and CPR.

I plan on going to a NOLS WILDERNESS MEDICINE coarse when I am eligible. I want to be an EMT when I get out of High School. After High School I want to go to medical school and earn a doctorate degree. After I obtain my doctorate degree I want to become a paramedic for the state of Alaska!

This is my second semester at S.O.A.R. I am very excited to be going scuba diving in the Keys with my group. I am very happy to be going to Costa Rica because I have never been to there. One of my goals for this semester is to become more physically fit.

sam millard's bio

My name is Sam Millard. I am from New York City. I enjoy drawing and painting. I am interested in watches and how they work. I find the design and mechanics of them very interesting. I also enjoy figuring out how they work and watching the mechanics move. I also like sports cars. I like the design of them and sometimes draw my own car designs. I hope to do well at SOAR, so that I can get into a good high school. I also hope that I will have a lot of fun this semester.

Evan Andersons Bio

       Hello S.O.A.R community, my names is Evan Allan Anderson or Raymond (so no one gets me and the other Evan confused). I was born in Tigard, Oregon, and now reside in the humble town of Columbia City, Oregon. I am 18 years old and a senior in high school. I have been at S.O.A.R for 2 semesters and this is my 3^rd. I am blonde, blue eyed, slim, and average height. My favorite colors are blue and green.

       I have visited many places including: The Rocky Mountains, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Mexico (Sea of Cortez), Grand Canyon, and many more. I enjoy sailing, drawing, strategizing, mountain boarding (would like to start again), thinking in general, and History. My favorite sports team would be the all mighty OREGON DUCKS!! I have a mother (Teresa) and father (Richard), 2 sisters (Sam, Rita) and one brother (Jason). I got the goods from both my mom and dad and enjoyable siblings. The only thing I really enjoy about school is history. My goal for S.O.A.R is to get into U of O! One step of getting toward that goal is getting a good ACT score.

First blog for spring semester by Evan Harr

Hi, my name is Evan Harr, I’m from Orange County, California, I go to SOAR Academy, and I’m 16 years old. My family is made up of my dad, Jim, my mom, Michele, my sister, Nicole, me, and my dog, Bella. My dad is the vice president of purchasing at Ingram Micro, and my mom stays at the house and helps with things around the house and me and my sister.

Some thing I enjoy doing are playing bass, video games, and hanging out with my friends. My favorite baseball team is the Angels, and some bands I like are Offspring, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Cream, and Credence Clearwater Revival. I also like to go to church and listen to music. I’m good at playing bass, video games, snowboarding, and school. I broke my ankle skating, and was in a band. Some places I’ve been are Lake Havasu, Hawaii, Canada, North Carolina, the Appalachian Trail, the Caribbean, and Mexico.

Some things I like and dislike about school is that I like math, and I dislike history. Things I hope to do or accomplish at SOAR are accomplish all my goals, do well in scuba, and make many friends here.

Stephen Foster: Biography

My name is Stephen Foster and I’m from San Ramon, California.  This is my second semester here at SOAR and I’m a sophomore.  I am 15 years old and turning 16 in within the next month. My last semester here at SOAR, I went on many cool and interesting expeditions.  From the tops of the Rocky Mountains to the deepest hole in the world.  Last semester included some of the most interesting experiences in my life. 

                I come from a family of three (Well, you could say five if you count my dogs Max and Bella), my family is made up of my mom, younger brother, and I.  My family is extremely special to me, their never ending love has really supported me through my years here at SOAR. 

                I’m a very active Republican and I hold fast to my beliefs, you can sometimes find me reading political books and you can also find me reading novels, I have a variety of interests.  When, I have a chance, at baseball/football games, I like to collect sports memorabilia, like, signed baseballs, footballs, and cards.  I have some of them hanging up in my room.  I’m pretty good at discussing economics and politics and when I have free time I like to play football, baseball, and airsoft with my friends and family and while I’m at school my favorite subjects are History and English.

                My favorite types of music are country and classic rock.  Like, George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Van Halen, and Foreigner.   My favorite Baseball team is the San Francisco Giants and my favorite football team is the Chargers.    

                I am looking forward to a wonderful, fun, and exciting year here at SOAR.  We will be visiting the Everglades, the Florida Keys and Costa Rica and having many cool adventures  along the way.
